More farming families honoured at ceremony held on 18 May 2024.
A gathering of over 250 people honoured 41 deserving families who had ventured from all over New Zealand to receive their award celebrating their perseverance and success over 100-plus years of farming.
Associate Minister for Agriculture, Hon Mark Patterson acknowledged the resilience, hard work and love of the land of those present and also paid tribute to the commitment by their forebears to reach such an important milestone.
Chair Edward Fitzgerald said the event had been another huge success. “The NZCFSA Committee and Lawrence community go all out to create a memorable, seamless event and to make our visitors feel welcome which they really appreciate. It’s wonderful to see the families each year really embrace the weekend and their special time together in Lawrence.”
